Julie's fingers trail through his hair for a moment before traveling down his neck and across his shoulders. She could stay like this all day, forget her responsibilities on the Turtle. She smiles a bit when he calls her cute, laughing some.
"Wish you could have been there. It got pretty insane at one point. Naga is a great dog, but not the best thing to hide behind. She kept wanting to play, too."
There's no reply from Julie. She's too content and relaxed to say anything. She has Raleigh with her and that's all she wants or needs at the moment. He's warm. He's caring. She's happiest when it's just the two of them like it is at the moment.
Even without her sight, she can find his lips easily and she does so. A soft, slow press of her lips against his, her arms erasing around his shoulders. This was a good way to relax after a long day.

She grins, tucking herself into his arms. This was a good place to be, in bed with him. She was happiest here, especially in his arms. Even if she was only wearing a towel.
"I did. There were layers." She knows what she's doing, Raleigh. "But I'm used of the cold in Seattle. If it gets as cold as it does in Alaska, I may need your help."
"I think I have that one covered," Julie replies with a grin. She has her head resting against his neck by this point, eyes closed. She's nowhere near sleepy, just enjoying the moment. "There is honestly no one else on this turtle that I want to stay warm with."
She shifts slightly, getting more settled before speaking again. "What's the next lesson?"
"I don't even know if we have any in the kitchen." She really hasn't bothered with alcohol since losing her eyesight. It sounded potentially hazardous. However, if she kept her drinking light and stayed with Raleigh, she'd be okay. Right?
He kisses the top of her head, trailing his arms across her shoulder before he abandons the bed and returns - shrugging out of his pants into his boxers, "...Just a bottle of something local."
"Is it just me or is the local stuff really strong ?"
Not that she minds at all. "You're going to need to explain how loads of alcohol will keep us warm." She's just playing along at this point. Julie props herself up some, one hand curled against her chest, the towel held in place.
"I was always told drinking too much ran the risk of making the cold worse."
"There's a technical explanation. Something about warming the blood vessels. Some guy survived the Titanic because he was drinking the cooking sherry."
He returns with a pair of glasses, "We have this bottle. And we honestly don't have anything else to do. You've been here longer then me, there's got to be a TV or something."
"I don't have a TV, sadly." Julie wouldn't know what to do with it anyway. She smiles in Raleigh's direction, shifting on the bed to make room for him. "You've moved in with someone boring, I'm afraid."
"A story. Huh." Julie settles against the pillows again, her hand finally relaxing it's hold on her towel. She chews her lower lip, nose wrinkling a bit as she thought this over, trying to think things over. She had one from before the world went to shit. It's her favorite one to tell. No sad endings whatsoever.
"When I was six, my parents and I went camping. It was my moms responsibility to pack the tent. She thought it was dads responsibility. So, it never got packed. We drove five ours to the campground, got checked in, started unpacking. And there were no tents at all. Not mine. Not my parents. Just our sleeping bags, our food. We remembered to pack dads acoustic guitar. No vacation was complete without it."
She grins, reliving the fun.
"But we had no tents. So mom asks for the directions to the nearest camping supply store. It was an hour away. It took us two hours to find it and by the time we did, they were closed. So we drove back and my mom goes 'That's alright. Who wants to sleep in a stupid, gross tent anyway?' Dad gets huffy, starts sniping back. I don't remember why I looked up, probably to roll my eyes or something. I was pissed and tired and just done with like..everything by that point. But, anyway. I look up, and I noticed shooting stars. So I head over to both of them, get them to look up and...everything went quiet for about a minute or so. When it was done, we just got our sleeping bags out of the car and slept under the stars. It was the coolest vacation I'd ever had."
[ooc: i made that up, it's headcanon.]
